Country House

At casajuaclo, we invite you to experience sustainable rural living in a cozy alley where the house integrates with a shared organic garden and an art project that connects art and nature.

Juaclo is an aboriginal place name that in Spanish means ‘shepherd’s cave’. Casa Juaclo is located in the upper part of the village of El Pinar, at the foot of Mount Tanajara, and holds over a century of stories within its volcanic stone walls. Built at the beginning of the 20th century, it was born like so many humble homes on the island, paced by field work, between sea and mountain, embraced by small family gardens. At the start of the 21st century, with a restoration carried out patiently and respectfully, the house regained its original essence—the old wood, the modest proportions, the artisanal character of every corner. But it also added light, space, and comfort, transforming into an accommodation where tradition and well-being coexist in harmony.

Today, those who cross its threshold find a spacious, comfortable environment ready for rest—terraces that breathe nature, bright rooms, a fully equipped kitchen to enjoy at leisure, and thoughtful details designed so that the stay flows smoothly. All this is surrounded by the silence of the alley and the constant presence of the endemic garden.

Casa Juaclo is also a place of closeness. We live and work here, attentive to whatever each traveler may need, accompanying without intruding, with the sincere desire that everyone feels as welcomed as a neighbor. Because more than just accommodation, this house is a small home open to the world and invites you to discover El Hierro through the calm, hospitality, and authenticity that define the neighborhood and the island.
